Hardware RTL Engineer (DSP Platform)
Key responsibilities:
- Digital circuit design for DSP-platforms in the hardware
engineering team (FPGA boards) - Integration of DSP processor cores (ual-core
configurations, shared interrupts, boot-ROMs, memory interfaces,
etc.) - RTL development, synthesis, optimization and testing of
logic to control peripheral devices like Compact Flash, SATA/IDE,
VGA, AC97, multichannel audio daughter-cards, USB1.1/2.0, Ethernet,
etc. - Analysis of boards design and schematics
- Participating in hardware design of multimedia
applications, integration with video and audio codecs for the
purposes of reference designs - Writing technical documentation and presentations on
developed HW modules - Communication with USA/Indian colleagues and managers
personally and by e-mail in English (including low-level SW drivers
team)
Requirements:
- Knowledge in electrical engineering and computer
architecture - Experience in RTL development in Verilog, logic
verification and debug (Xilinx FPGA, JTAG) - Performance analysis and validation, timing
optimization - Skills in architecture of embedded devices and
microprocessors - Understanding of system issues, able to write HW module
design specifications - Experience of debugging HW and SW issues on FPGA-based
boards - Experienced in debugging circuits by RTL
simulation - Understanding of FPGA synthesis design flows, place and
route flows (knowledge in SynplifyPro/Premier, Mentor Precision and
Xilinx ISE) - Experience in board bring-up is highly
desirable. - Understanding Subversion and Bugzilla is a
plus
