Product Cost Process Analyst

Areas of responsibility

 

  •  
  • Provide expertise in his/her application/process specialization to support the daily operation and effective performance of the business (application support/maintenance).
  • Take ownership of the application support and change requests received from the Global Service Desk (GSD) and ensure that an appropriate solution is provided, irrespective of which IT teams are involved. 
  • Manage the resolution of the process area Support Requests or Change Requests through the full IT cycle of analysing the issues, designing a proposed solution, building or customizing a system solution, unit testing to ensure suitability, co-ordination of the user testing and managing the deployment to the Live system.
  • Ensure that user Change Requests and Support Requests are fully documented and accurate in the company’s issue management system.
  • Provide expert guidance and direction into the design and application of business processes.
  • Work as the Product Costing expert on cross-functional requests.
  • Manage small scale projects and enhancements through the project life-cycle of Plan, Analyse, Design, Build, Test, Deploy.
  • Be a team member of finance-specific or cross-functional projects as a customizing and process area expert.
  • Act as the custodian of the the Global Reference Model for the specific process area and ensure that it is documented
    accurately and is up-to-date
  • Design, prepare for and execute training courses about the process area for global Power Users.

Competencies

  • ACCA/CIMA or SAP certification in FI/CO
  • Configuration experience in CO-PC or in FI/CO/APO/P2P· Minimum of 3 years related work experience in accounting and finance areas. Experience in GSC finance would be beneficial.
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • SAP CO-PC or FICO knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain processes, preferably on a global scale
  • Deep knowledge of processes and systems associated with standard cost calculation, inventory revaluation, Material Ledger closing, Product Cost variance calculation
  • Knowledge and previous experience of application testing, test procedures and test scenarios.
  • Knowledge of internal support processes and message handling procedures including message escalation.
  • Knowledge of the project management processes, particularly from previous projects that concern the CO-PC application modules/processes.
  • Knowledge of designing and implementing business processes.
  • Knowledge of defining and rolling out standards and templates.
  • Familiar with business process change management including implementation, testing and verification of change requests.·
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good working knowledge of P2P (MM Purchasing) and O2C (SAP SD through to SAP PP) business process.
  • Knowledge of the application customizing and operations linked to these processes, desire and aptitude to learn other R2R
  • (FICO) SAP business processes.
